AlumiFuel Power, Inc. Announces Further Commercialization Initiatives Involving Its AlumiFuel Cartridges
Early production stage hydrogen generation company AlumiFuel Power, Inc. (“API”), the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based wholly owned operating subsidiary of AlumiFuel Power Corporation (OTCBB: AFPW), (the “Company”), announced today that it has made significant progress in the production and distribution processes for its PBIS-1000 AlumiFuel cartridges.
API has continued to work with its cartridge manufacturer, ActionPak, Inc., to make the cartridge packaging process and techniques more efficient and precise (see API news release of February 19, 2010). ActionPak and API recently have implemented assembly line devices that were specially designed and built by API for cartridge packaging. API also has streamlined the deliveries and prefabrication of the cartridge components for direct delivery to ActionPak.
In addition, API has been preparing the documentation and optimal methods for delivering the cartridges to customers who have purchased the PBIS-1000 portable hydrogen generator (see API news release of February 9, 2010). As part of the process of registering the product with the Department of Transportation and determining the proper packaging, labeling, and paperwork, API has employed third-party laboratories to analyze its powders. API employees have undergone special materials handling training and have consulted with appropriate shipping experts. API is considering using major international shippers as well as common couriers for deliveries of the cartridges, and is exploring the use of universal United Nations shipping boxes for potential future international orders.
API’s Director of Engineering, Mr. Sean McIntosh, said “We are moving ahead to maximize the affordability, efficiency, and ease of logistics in selling and shipping our cartridges for the PBIS-1000. As we are completing the delivery on our first Purchase Order for the portable hydrogen generator, and are anticipating additional orders in the near future, we want to have the manufacturing and distribution chain in place to quickly and efficiently fill these orders.”
