Geospatial Holdings, Inc.

Geospatial Holdings, Inc. utilizes proprietary technologies to determine the accurate location and position of underground pipelines, conduits and other underground infrastructure, allowing Geospatial to create accurate (3D) three-dimensional digital maps and models of all underground infrastructure.

Geospatial's proprietary Smart Probe™ technology collects data that can be used to create 3-D maps of pipeline infrastructure with an unprecedented degree of positional accuracy.   The Smart Probe™ utilizes a configuration of 30 gyroscopic inertial measurement units (IMU’s) to record 800 angular and linear velocity changes per second as it moves through a pipeline. When synchronized with known entry and exit point coordinates, this data creates a precise centerline map of the installed pipe. The probe can operate in virtually any pipeline medium and map pipes from 1.5" to many feet in diameter.

GeoUnderground, the company’s powerful GIS (Geographic Information System) database enables users to view and utilize this 3D pipeline mapping information securely from any desktop, laptop or PDA such as a Blackberry or an iPhone.  Licensed users can share this information in a secure manner with their peers and associates anywhere in the world through a conventional browser via the internet. GeoUnderground seamlessly integrates with all known technologies housing above-ground geo-referenced digital information and all standard GIS database formats.

As the volume of installed pipeline increases and the need for rehabilitation/replacement of aging subsurface infrastructure grows , it is critical to identify the exact location of pipeline assets.   Geospatial’s precision technology provides engineers and pipeline owners and operators in the oil and gas, telecommunications, electrical transmission, and municipal services (water and sewer) markets with a fast, cost-effective,scalable infrastructure management solution.

Geospatial Holdings, Inc. operates through its wholly-owned subsidiary Geospatial Mapping Systems, Inc., and does business as Geospatial Corporation.  The company was founded in 2006 and is headquartered near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
